November 7, 2008 / “Thriller” Night
It was a dark and stormy night . . . I always wanted to start a blog that way!
Today, my wife Jennifer and I filmed Vinnie and Cheryl’s wedding. I met Vinnie at a wedding that he was DJ’ing with Bert Fonseca of After Hours DJ Entertainment. We’ve worked together several times, but tonight, he wasn’t the DJ . . . he was the groom!
Their wedding took place at A Villa Louisa in Bolton, CT. (shout out to Claudia!)
Diane and Patrick of Nifi’s Wedding Planning photographed the whole event. They were great to work with once again. I initially met them at Cathy and Paul’s wedding back in September!
Needless to say, After Hours was in full force. Peter Devine, a DJ, actually performed the ceremony as their justice of the peace. Sal was the music man and kept the dance floor packed! The highlight of the night was when Vinnie and Cheryl broke into “Thriller” by Michael Jackson during the middle of their first dance. . . truly a priceless moment! Should make for some great video!
Everyone in attendance had a great time dancing into the After Hours . . . get it?
Congratulations Vinnie and Cheryl! Thanks again for letting us be a part of your special day!

Mike Michaud and I shot a wedding today. The couple’s name is Diana & Michael. They are from Brooklyn, NY. I have never met them before this morning. I happen to find Diana inside an RV out front of The Hilton Garden Inn located in Glastonbury, CT. The RV belonged to a woman named Alyce of Always Love Yourself Mobile Salon & Spa. You heard me, I said Mobile Salon & Spa. This thing was sweet and I would recommend it to any bride looking for the ultimate convenience on your wedding day.
I filmed Diana getting ready and we got some stuff with Michael too (he was also at the hotel getting ready). Then we were off to the ceremony.
The ceremony took place at The Buckingham Congregational Church. The church was very old and rich in history. A nice small church for an intimate wedding ceremony. Once Diana and Michael said their “i do’s”, it was picture time!
Carrie Draghi Photography was in the house and as always, it was wonderful working with you three ladies . . . (wink, wink, get it?) We wrapped up the formals at the church, then we moved on to A Villa Louisa in Bolton, CT where the reception would take place.
Before the reception, the couple took more pictures near the gazebo at A Villa Louisa before kicking off their cocktail hour. Then, Bert, of After Hours DJ Entertainment, set the party off and kept the people dancing all through the night.
It was a great wedding and everybody had an excellent time including myself.
Thanks again for letting us be a part of your special day!
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Michael LoGrasso!

Tonight, I shot Lisset & Michael’s wedding. The ceremony took place at St. James Church in Manchester, CT.
After the ceremony, the couple stayed at the church for the formal photo session with Peter Black of Wedding Bells Photography. Peter was great to work with. He even comes equipped with his own video camera! Thanks again for spotting me the cash for parking at The Goodwin.
You guessed it, the reception was held at The Goodwin Hotel in Hartford, CT. There, Dave from Power Station got the party going with the right selection. The Goodwin ballroom was transformed into a dance club thanks to the lighting set up by Craig of Correlation Productions.
Lisset & Michael shared a beautiful wedding and I hope their marriage is just as fun!
Congratulations!

Today, Mike Michaud and I filmed Melissa and Chris’s wedding. It was a rainy day, but as they say, the rain is good luck! So, they definitely have luck on their side.
Their ceremony took place at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Rocky Hill, CT. After they said their “i do’s”, we were back in the rain and heading to the reception site.
The reception was held at Birch Meadow Banquet Facility in Bloomfield, CT. Upon arrival, the rain came to a stop just in time. Before cocktail hour began, the couple spent time taking pictures with Connie and April of Lyrical Lens Photography. As if the rain and soggy grounds wasn’t enough, we also had to deal with the relentless mosquitos (SWAT!) . . . got ‘em!
“Give it up for the new Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Mull!” as said by the dynamic duo of Bert and Vinnie from After Hours DJ Entertainment. As always, they kept the party rocking with great music, a soul train dance off, and a special appearance by the Blues Brothers!
Everybody in attendance had a great time including us. Congratulations Melissa & Chris! I wish you all the best in your future together!

I filmed Cathy & Paul’s wedding over the weekend with my assistant Mike Michaud. Their ceremony was held at The Church of Christ Congregational in Newington, CT.
After the ceremony, we headed to Mill Pond Park just down the street from the church. There, we filmed the photo session with Jake of Jake Koteen Photography. After the formals, it was on to the reception!
Cathy & Paul’s reception unfolded at The St. George Greek Church Hall in New Britain, CT. The room looked amazing. A perfect place for their celebration. Dinner was served and it was absolutely delicious! During dinner, I met Diane and Pat from Nifi’s Wedding Planning, who assisted Cathy in her planning and preparation for the wedding.
The bride and groom danced the night away and had a great time in the process. Congratulations to Cathy & Paul! Good luck in the future!
Cathy & Paul’s wedding trailer will be posted soon-

My half sleeve is finally complete. I love the finished piece. The tattoo is a tribute to my wife and kids. Once again, Tim Brewer is a bad man! To book an appointment with Tim, please call Body Graphics in South Windsor, CT at (860) 289-6534.
No commentsCountry First? Or Bash Obama First?
I love this guy! Jay Smooth of Illdoctrine.com always has some insight and I love his stance on most things. I too watched the RNC last night and was amazed by how bad Rudy was hating on Obama. Palin impressed me with the strength of her speech but I later found out that she wrote it with the help of another gentleman who helps Bush write speeches . . . enough said!
No commentsVacation in Upstate New York
Every summer we go on vacation to upstate New York. We left on 8/17 and returned on 8/24. My in-laws own 100 acres up there and it is always a great time! My wife enjoys sunbathing with the girls while I stay busy giving quad rides to my son, Kevin. It’s a very relaxing time and we look forward to it every year. Some highlights from vacation that stand out are “dolla, dolla bill y’all” , the letter “F”, my wife kicking me, and CJ’s knee (raw flesh . . . raw meat). I think our next trip up there will be for Thanksgiving weekend!

Two good friends of mine were married today. Mike Michaud and Nicole Kelley are officially Mr. and Mrs. Michaud! Or is it Mr. and Mrs. Mesh Hats?
The wedding took place at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, CT. The ceremony was held on the beach with the sounds of the ocean and the music of the steel drums. I was a groomsman and my wife was a bridesmaid (and she was smoking hot that night)! My brother was also a groomsman. It was great to have him and his family back in CT for a few days before they flew back to Arizona.
As soon as we wrapped up the photo session with Claudia of Fabuluxe Photography, everyone took cover at the reception as it began to rain. Luckily enough, the precipitation held out just long enough for Mike and Nicole to say their vows in the sand as planned.
The reception was a blast! Fully equipped with great food, bangin’ music, and a merry-go-round! That’s right, a carousel that went round and round and round. You might think this would be a problem with the alcohol consumption but it was great. We rode out the night with Spitfire, Tony the Pony, and Fancy Dan! Can’t wait to see the footage that Tom Kinney filmed!
Congratulations Mike and Nicole! We truly had a great time at your wedding and we wish you nothing but the best moving forward. Jennifer and myself are always here for you whenever you need us!

Just when you thought it was safe to say “i do” . . . Thunder strikes! Literally, that’s what happened on Friday night while Chris & Sarah were saying their wedding vows at St. Bridget Church in Manchester, CT.
As fast as the storm came, it was gone just as fast. The rain began to fall during the ceremony. Then the wind really picked up, followed by lightning, and roaring thunder causing the power to go out temporarily. Once the ceremony finished, the rain had ceased and the sun appeared once again. Truly perfect timing!
Once Ted and Yolanda, of Images Photography, wrapped up the photo session at the church, we were off to Wickham Park for more pictures. While the park was a beautiful place, the grounds were still too wet to truly enjoy all of it’s scenery. Since we didn’t want everyone to get all wet and muddy, we headed to the reception.
The celebration continued at Georgina’s in Bolton, CT. The facility has a great banquet hall for a wedding. Not to mention some excellent food! Hats off to the chef! During dinner, we showed a photo montage in honor of Sarah & Chris that everybody really seemed to enjoy.
Keith Alan was the DJ and he got the party going in the right direction. With a great mix of songs and some sick BOSE speakers, you had no choice but to nod your head and rock to the beat.
I’d love to write more, but I have alot of editing to do on some of the groomsmen’s “inappropriate” audio comments. You know who you are fellas! lol
Congratulations to Sarah & Chris! Myself and Tom had a great time at your wedding.
